⁶ He prepared his chariot and took his soldiers with him.

⁷ Pharaoh took six hundred choice chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt with warriors on each of them. ⁸ The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, who then pursued the children of Israel while they were marching away in triumph.
